C4CN Trustee receives ‘Nobel Prize for work with children’.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Children4ChildrenNepal (C4CN), Board Director, Douglas Maclagan, is being honoured with the World of Children 2018 Alumni Award. This prestigious award has been commonly referred to as the ‘Nobel Peace Prize for Children’.
Douglas has gone above-and-beyond to expand the impact of C4CN, and he will be honoured on April 19, 2018 at their annual Hero Awards Benefit in Los Angeles, California.
For winning the award, World of Children (WoC) has provided funding of US$20,000, which will specifically be used to contribute to the building of Phase 2 of the Pokhara-based vocational training centre, the FAB School. This will allow the construction of an academic block. The academic block will allow boys & girls from around Nepal, who have previously been trafficked, to travel to Pokhara to live & study.
The FAB School provides the students with a 1-year vocational training program and qualification. Most importantly, it provides a guaranteed job at the end of the program. This job, lifts both them – & their families – out of poverty.
We at C4CN have supported this project from its inception and are so pleased to see it being recognised and approaching fulfilment.

We are hoping to raise a further £20,000 to enable this phase of construction to be completed; please donate, if you can, via our donation page.
