Phase one of construction is complete and the first group of students have started training! The new students have use of the restaurant, kitchen, guard house, reception, mock-up housekeeping room, changing room, and student facilities. These were built solely on the donations received by C4CN and other donor partners.
Training is provided by the Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE College) in areas ranging from barista training, to food and beverage management with plans to expand to full catering qualification and 3 year degree programmes.
The school will also be used for community projects in the evenings and weekends. These projects will be determined by the community and facilitated by this project. We anticipate these starting by the end of the year.
The second phase of construction will include an academic block, hostel for the students, banquet hall and a community centre.
Thank you for your continued support in making this project happen!
